Projectiles fired by you that hit collide with enemy projectiles that hit. When this happens, impacted projectiles degenerate or destroy each other depending on their relative power and size
+20 base damage for weapons that hit. This bonus is halved for weapons not fired by you

You take heavy hull self-damage when you fire. This damage is slightly increased for each additional weapon projectile you fire

As of V0.35.30, self-damage is increased per projectile fired until a soft cap of 16 projectiles, where it sharply drops off. This was done to make the self-damage with Flak and Torrent builds manageable even at very high projectile counts.
